The article titled "Avoiding the Escalatory Trap: Managing Escalation during the Israel-Hamas War", explain Israel’s precarious situation in its conflict with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. This paper explores the evolving dynamics of Iran's foreign policy in the Middle East, with a particular focus on its involvement in regional conflicts, such as the Israel-Hamas conflict. Turkey is expanding its strategic presence in the Indian Ocean Region through agreements with Somalia, involvement in regional disputes, and defense industry expansion. This growing influence, coupled with China’s presence, poses complex challenges for India, potentially limiting its regional policy space and requiring a recalibration of its Indian Ocean strategy.

'Russia Is Not Angry; It's focusing.' This is a Russian aphorism put forward by Alexander Gorchakov, the Foreign Minister of the Russian empire, in 1856, after Russia lowered its international profile following its defeat in the Crimean War. Indeed, Russia is a country that has had its ups and downs but has the ability to renew itself by 'focusing' every time.

When we look at the main trends in the world, global competition in the age of new economy based on "information and knowledge-based products" following "soil and machinery" is developing through "micro-nationalism", "integration" and "unpredictability’’.

Turkey - Southeast Asia Strategic Dialogue; aims at revealing how mutual potentials and existing collaborations can be transformed into a strategic alliance and targets to contribute to the capacity building of the strategic ground.

In addition to the religion, language, history and geography; building interdependence that will bring power and justice to our civilization is the basic mental threshold in front of the relations. What is one of the main strategic areas is the inclusion of Turkey and Palestinian Diasporas in such mutual processes.

Turkey - Russia High Competition High Cooperation

Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) and the Institute for Strategic Studies of National Security Council of Mongolia (ISS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement.

On the other hand, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, as an island country (known as Ceylon till 1972) in the Indian Ocean, has an acreage of 65,610 km2, population of over 22 million, GDP of 88.9 billion dolar (2018), and memberships in the international organizations such as ASEAN, CICA, SAARC, WTO etc. The country is a liberal economy, governed by multi-party, democratically elected governments.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, is a country that attracts the attention of the world with its strategic location connecting Asia to Africa and Mediterranean to Indian Ocean, its leading role in the Arab and Islamic world, 34 million dynamic population, natural resources, 20% share in the proven oil reserves of the world, economic potential that it has thanks to its tourism and human resources, its activities in the international organizations.
