Artificial intelligence has become an important turning point of technological developments. Especially with the use of this technology a transformation process has begun in our lives. Systems developed and under development together with artificial intelligence technology: for example, the development of autonomous systems narrows the areas of use of human power is spreading rapidly to societies and causing institutions to undergo changes on a broader scale.

From the understanding of security in the past, which focused only on military threats from the Cold War period, which prioritized the security of states; in addition to the state actor, there is a transformation towards a new security understanding that deepens and expands in the political, economic, social and technological fields, in which individuals, groups and non-state organizations are now participating as a security threat.

In the 100th year of the Republic, on 23-24 November 2023, the 9th Istanbul Security Conference titled as "Strategic Transformation in the Ecosystem" will be held by TASAM-NDSI with global participation at Istanbul Kent University Kağıthane Campus. Last day to register is today, and the Participants of the conference and its co-events will be given certificates and conference books.

2nd Istanbul Cyber-Security Forum | Registrations Started

2nd Istanbul Cyber-Security Forum titled as “New Cyber Economy and Turkish Products“ will be held as a co-activity in the first day of the 9th Istanbul Security Conference to be held on 23-24 November 2023 at Istanbul Kent University Kağıthane Campus by TASAM - NDSI. The deadline to register is November 21 and the events' participants will be given certificates and conference books.

9th Istanbul Security Conference (2023) | CALL FOR PAPER

As it was firstly held in Türkiye in 2015, the 9th of Istanbul Security Conference with the main theme of "Strategic Transformation in the Ecosystem: Climate, Nourishment, Demography, Meritocracy, Economy, Health, Education, Employment, Family-Youth and City Security" will be held by TASAM National Defence and Security Institute (NDSI) in Istanbul on 23-24 November 2023, in the 100th year of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

Mister Chairman, distinguished participants, dear friends; It is my pleasure to take part in this very interesting "International Balkan Congress". I would like to express my appreciation for excellent organization and commend previous speakers which offered us a lot of fresh and new ideas and views on the present situation and the future of the Balkans.

First of all I would like to express gratitude to our hosts, the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) and Tekirdağ Governorship, together with Namık Kemal University who, by organizing this International Congress, gave us the opportunity to meet each other and exchange views on issues in which we are all interested, since we share the same region, its past, present and future.
