Call for Articles to be Published in TASAM

For the public good, the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) invites researchers to submit academic articles, analytical essays, and policy briefs that analyze political, economic, security, and societal transformations at global and regional levels, contributing to the national and international academic and policy-making community.

In today’s rapidly evolving international environment, topics such as multipolarity, great power competition, regional conflicts, emerging security threats, and transformations in economy and technology are gaining increasing significance. TASAM aims to provide an impartial and respected platform for researchers, academics, and experts to contribute to both academia and policy-making processes through their work.

Research Areas and Themes

Submissions may cover, but are not limited to, the following themes:

- Türkiye and Its Future Vision

- International Relations and Foreign Policy

- Regional Studies: Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Balkans, Mediterranean, Black Sea-Caucasus, Africa, North America, Latin America, and Eurasia

- Identity Studies: Turkish World, Islamic World

- Security and Defence: Traditional and emerging security threats, defence industry, strategic competition

- Economy and Development: Global trade, economic cooperation mechanisms, sustainable development

- Society, Culture, and Technology: Public diplomacy, cultural interactions, digitalization, and artificial intelligence

Types of Writing

- Academic Article (in-depth theoretical/analytical studies)

- Policy Analysis (evaluations of current developments aimed at decision-makers)

- Policy Brief / Short Analysis ( focused and concise assessments)

Submission Guidelines and Format

Length and Structure

- Academic Articles (between 4,000–6,000 words)

- Analytical Essays (between 2,500–4,500 words)

- Policy Briefs (between 1,000–2,500 words)

- Each submission must include:

- A title,

- An abstract of 150–200 words,

- 5-7 keywords

Formatting

- Language: Turkish or English

- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point, 1.5 line spacing

- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

- Paragraphs: Block-aligned

- Footnotes: 10-point

Citation and References

- APA 7 or Chicago citation style must be used.

- All citations must adhere to academic ethical standards.

- A complete reference list must be provided at the end of the submission.

Visuals and Tables

- Tables, charts, and visuals must be numbered and titled.

- Sources for visuals must be cited.

Ethics and Originality

- Submissions must be original and not previously published.

- Plagiarism must not exceed 15%.

- Use of artificial intelligence is prohibited.

Please submit your work along with a brief CV to the TASAM Editorial Board via email.

Accepted submissions will be published in TASAM’s publications and digital platforms.
