Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) and the Institute for Strategic Studies of National Security Council of Mongolia (ISS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement.

Considering the important role of research centers (think tanks) in development and strengthening bilateral relations between the Turkey and the Mongolia, and taking into consideration the presence of integral intellectual and scientific potential, as well as mutual interest and involvement of these two institutions in the assessment and analysis of problems of international development, international and regional security, they have reached an understanding to establish a sustainable mechanism for direct cooperation and practical interaction between the relevant institutions of the Turkey and the Mongolia.

According to the Memorandum, the parties will establish a direct academic and scholarly ties to enhance cooperation in the areas of mutual interests. Such cooperation will not be guided by any commercial consideration. This MOU will provide a framework for cooperation in the fields of research and promote the exchange of ideas and interaction of views between Mongolian and Turkish researchers and practitioners. The institutions accept that a priority task of such cooperation is to elaborate and introduce research in the fields related to international relations, regional and global security, economic and social development.

The MoU has signed by Süleyman ŞENSOY, the Chairman of TASAM, and Begz DAVAADORJ, the Director of ISS, in Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar on the date of November 28th, 2022.
