Research cooperation agreement signed between Islamabad-based South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) University of Pakistan and Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies TASAM.
SASSI is an independent think tank established to contribute to the peace of South Asia and concentrates its work on strategic stability in the South Asian region and therefore the nuclear relations that have emerged at the centre of this stability.
TASAM, which has previously signed agreements with active organizations and universities from different geographies, continues its efforts to share its experience and to realize an effective interaction between countries and societies.
The cooperation agreement between the two institutions was signed by Dr. Maria Sultan, the General Director and Chairman of SASSI, and Süleyman Şensoy, the Chairman of TASAM.
The Chairman of SASSI Dr. Maria Sultan serves as the Strategic and Military Affairs advisor for the Ministry of Defence of Pakistan and is also the Founding Vice-President of the Muslim Youth University in Pakistan.
The cooperation agreement containing such items as working jointly to develop policy advice to academic institutions, government and policymakers, to perform alternately by planning mutual academic meetings, to conduct joint research and academic studies, to promote and conduct academic programs and research resulting in high-quality products that contribute to World Peace, was signed in Istanbul on 8 November 2019.
