The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health

Social media has become an integral part of modern life, revolutionizing communication, information sharing, and social interactions. As platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok continue to grow in popularity, their impact on mental health has drawn significant attention from researchers, clinicians, and the general public. This paper aims to explore the multifaceted relationship between social media use and mental well-being.

Chinese Accounting and Türkiye

Since we will be hearing about China in different ways more frequently in the future, I wanted to share some of my notes and observations to help us get to know China more closely. Although the conclusions here may seem straightforward, they actually include insights I gathered from around 10 round-table meetings I attended at various think tanks, both in the UK and other locations in recent months.
Türkiye is exercising its vocation as an emerging power and is trying to build relationships with Africa. Internationally this was noticeable particularly with Somalia. Turkish Airlines’ scheduled links with Somalia symbolized this connection and was taken as both daring and a sign of commitment even to a troubled African state.
The 8th Turkey - Gulf Defense and Security Forum, held under the main theme “Red Apples for Security Partnership,“ was organized by the TASAM National Defense and Security Institute as a co-event of the 10th Istanbul Security Conference on November 22, 2024, at Wish More Hotel Istanbul. The Forum hosted speakers and protocol participants from various countries and regions, as well as diverse fields and sectors.

6th Marine and Maritime Security Forum I Declaration

The 6th Marine and Maritime Security Forum, under the main theme of “Turkish Maritime Vision 2053,” was organized by TASAM National Defense and Security Institute on November 21, 2024, as a co-event of the 10th Istanbul Security Conference held at Wish More Hotel Istanbul.

7th Türkiye-Africa Defense, Security I Declaration

The 7th Türkiye-Africa Defense, Security, and Space Forum, under the main theme "Africa 2063 Vision Security Partnership", was jointly organized by the TASAM African Institute and the TASAM National Defense and Security Institute. It was conducted as a side event of the 10th Istanbul Security Conference on November 22, 2024, at Wish More Hotel in Istanbul.
The Istanbul Security Conference, organized for the first time in Türkiye in 2015 and held for the tenth time this year, was organized by TASAM National Defense and Security Institute with the main theme of Technopolitical New World: Security of Security was organized by TASAM National Defense and Security Institute with the main theme of "Security of Mind, Generation, Family, Faith and State" on 21-22 November 2024 at Wish More Hotel Istanbul.

With the main theme of "New Technopolitics and Security Partnership", Asia Anew Security Forum was co- organized by TASAM National Defense and Security Institute as a co-event of the 10th Istanbul Security Conference held on 21-22 November 2024 at Wish More Hotel Istanbul.

The Iran Nuclear Deal and Ambition

We have reviewed existing articles on the tense relations between Iran and the United States from the past to the present, their reflections in the international sphere, and how a new formation like the JCPOA should be in the Middle East. Iran's insistence on continuation of the nuclear program caused by national identity and security concerns to protect its regional interests, continues despite creating tensions with the West.

This transformation is not just the work of governments, but is the result of an ecosystem of hybrid players, combining traditional defense companies with new technology giants.
This paper explores the evolving dynamics of Iran's foreign policy in the Middle East, with a particular focus on its involvement in regional conflicts, such as the Israel-Hamas conflict. Analyzing the works of Mousavian and Chitsazian (2020), as well as Rahat and Abbas (2024), it delves into Iran's strategic alliances and support for non-state actors, including Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas, as part of its broader geopolitical objectives.

ADAPTATION OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES INTO DEFENSE

The 21st century can be considered as the revolutionary age of technology. We have seen some major advancements in the field of technology in the last decade and it is still going on at a rapid pace. The technology which is new today will become obsolete tomorrow as the speed of development with new concepts and techniques are born every day.
The destructive impact of the capitalist economy on the public, especially in developing countries, is accompanied by painful social transformations. As capitalism’s nature is centered on profit, it deepens class divisions in developing countries and leads to inequalities in income distribution, as well as social and communal erosion. While economic growth produces positive effects for a limited segment, this situation exacerbates social injustice by preventing the fair distribution of wealth.
